Active Lives - Allotment Volunteer

Taking part in weekly volunteer sessions, working together to grow vegetables on the allotment, develop the plant nursery, and maintain the allotment. Tasks might include:
- Sewing seeds, potting up and watering plants
- Making compost
- Moving materials around the allotment using the wheelbarrows
- Harvesting vegetables
- Looking after the wildlife pond
Group volunteer sessions happen every Thursday, 1:30pm until 4:00pm. Group sessions will involve working alongside individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism.
Successful applicants will be required to provide details of 2 referees (one must be your most recent employer) and undertake an enhanced DBS Disclosure.
No formal experience in gardening required, however it would be beneficial if individuals applying have an interest in gardening and an enthusiasm to learn.
