Would you like be part of one of Breast Cancer Now’s biggest fundraising events?

Cheer point volunteers help the Third-Party Events team support their runners at the Brighton Marathon. We pride ourselves on having the loudest cheer points and giving our runners a day they won’t forget. So, if this sounds like the role for you, join our team!

The event takes place Sunday 10th April and we ask volunteers to meet on Brighton seafront (outside Mercure Seafront Hotel). Breast Cancer Now staff will be cheering from 9.30am-4pm and volunteers are invited to join staff any time between these hours.

Alongside Breast Cancer Now staff members, you will cheer, clap and wave as our runners come past our cheer point stationed on the race route.

Skills

You don't need any specific skills or experience, just an enthusiastic nature and willingness to cheer on our runners as loudly as possible!

• Confidence and enthusiasm making lots of noise in front of others

• Passionate about showing support to the charity

• Comfortable working as part of a team to help make the day a success

Benefits

Volunteers will receive an event briefing via Microsoft Teams or phone call with your key staff contact prior to the event and you will receive full support and stewardship from your key staff contact throughout the event day. All volunteers will receive a Breast Cancer Now volunteer T-shirt and light refreshments on the day

Volunteer benefits include:

·    The opportunity to make people feel amazing!
