A Deputy Leader is required to work alongside the Leader in running the club and in setting the programme for the coming months.

Skills

Experience of working with older, vulnerable people is required. 

The ability to stand in for the Leader is necessary.

Skills in talking with older members and being empathetic to them, is necessary. 

A disclosure and barring certificate is essential. 

The ability to help organise speakers and entertainers for the programme, is necessary.

Practical Considerations

The number 700 bus stops at the Saltings roundabout opposite Shoreham Airport.  From there it is a short walk to the Church of the Good Shepherd, Kings Drive, Shoreham Beach.

There is ample parking space outside the Church Hall for those arriving by car. 

The number 19 bus serves Shoreham Beach and stops opposite the Longshore Pub. It runs hourly.

There are taxis from Shoreham Station.

Details This role is available from September 2019, although interested parties could work alongside the current Deputy Leader, prior to September.
