Royal Voluntary Service Good Neighbours
As a good neighbours volunteer you would be matched up with an older person who is suffering from isolation and loneliness who would benefit from a little help to get out and about, join a new club or activity, or even just increase their confidence in day-to-day tasks. Visiting them in their home, we will support you to provide information and assistance in enabling them to become more confident and get more out of life. The service runs for a 12 visit period and can include tasks like : supporting client to attend local clubs, groups, activities; accompanying to the shops or for a short walk; enabling the take up of a new hobby; simple every day tasks in and out of the home.

No experience necessary.
Helping older people in your community; personal development; making new friends and trying new things. Training is provided and expenses are covered.
Flexible hours of volunteering based around the volunteer's availability. Own transport would make the work easier but not essential as long as volunteer is happy to travel on public transport.
