International Development Charity (assistant)
Brighton based but focused on India. We are looking for help to develop our research and communications including social media and website development. There are opportunities to undertake research, building links with new partners and providing general organisational support. Currently we are focusing on developing our knowledge base around exploring new technologies to develop Smart Farms and Smart Villages which will address the impact of climate change in rural India.
We are recruiting for this role despite the COVID-19 emergency because it's important for our future. We would really like to hear from you if you're interested, even if it may not be practical for us to meet in person for some time. We could talk by phone or video link initially so you can find out more about the role and if it might be right for you.
Broad range of organisational skills, IT, events planning and research skills would be an advantage. Interest in international development, the impact of climate change and use of new technologies would be helpful. Working as part of a team.
The role offers experience of development issues and the possibility to work as part of a small team to address the impact of climate change on the rural poor. It offers opportunities to engage with people who wish to make a difference in addressing rural poverty...
Flexible hours, the work undertaken mainly from home and online with some attendance at meetings in the future.
