We are looking for Parade Marshals to accompany each bloc in the parade from samba bands to community groups. Parade marshals will be required from 9am-1pm on June 1st to ensure everyone taking part in the parade is safe, happy and has access to water. They will be ensuring each block maintains the correct pace and is unobstructed in their route.
No experience required! But enthusiasm and energy is a must.
- An opportunity to participate in the parade alongside samba bands and other processional music acts.
- Join a fun team and meet new friends
- A Carnival goodybag as a thank you and full refreshments provided
The parade moves slowly through Kemptown Village from Upper Rock Gardens towards St George's Rd. Marshalls must be able to comfortably walk or travel this distance over the course of an hour (e.g. in a manual or electric wheelchair).
