Shoreham Light Parade 2020 event volunteers
We are busy working on next year's Parade (Sat 26th Jan 2020) and a diverse program of free satellite events happening around town either side of the parade itself. If you would like to get involved in helping us make this special event even better than last year's please get in touch. We are looking for volunteers to help set up the lantern making workshops in the Shoreham Centre on the afternoon of the parade, volunteers to help give out LED tealights at the start point of the parade and stewards to assist with road crossings along the parade route.
An interest in art and craft would be beneficial for the workshops, experience stewarding outdoor events would be useful for the parade and good communication skills would be especially handy.
This is a community lead event for the local community and offers a fun, social experience to all involved.
For volunteers interested in art and crafts this is an opportunity to be creative and contribute towards a display which will be included in the exhibition at the Shoreham Centre after the parade.
There will be a party at the Shoreham centre after the parade which all are welcome to attend.
The workshop venue is fully accessible, the route is wheelchair accessible and the locations are served well by bus, rail and car parking options.
When do I need to be available?
