Volunteer Divisional Secretary
There is a SSAFA branch in each county of the UK. These are divided into small local areas called divisions. Would you like to coordinate the local SSAFA service in Brighton, Hove & Lewes division?
This is a key role involving administration and co-ordinating people. As the first point of contact for the division you will play a keen part in promoting SSAFA locally, matching clients to volunteer caseworkers and supporting volunteers to get the best outcomes for their clients.
Serving military, veterans and their families come to SSAFA for financial, practical and emotional support and as their first point of contact you will be involved in co-ordinating the support they need.
You don’t need a military background, just some basic IT and admin skills, the ability to get on with a wide range of people and good communication skills and written English.
- This role will give you the opportunity to use your skills, knowledge and life experiences to benefit others.
- Gain experience of holding a key local role with oversight of all SSAFA activity in your local area.
- Support and friendship from your local SSAFA branch and the wider SSAFFA community.
In this role you will be based at home and will need to have access to a computer. Occassionally you will need to travel to attend meetings or training events.
Expenses are paid and SSAFA will provide a mobile phone for your use.
