Strategic and business planning consultancy/support required
Actors of Dionysus
We identify that a three - five year strategic business plan is vital for the growth and longevity of the charity, and we are looking for someone with expertise in this area to support us to undertake this task, perhaps from a retired consultant. Although we have created past business plans for the charity, we are by no means experts in this field, and we require support from someone with the necessary experience to help us to think strategically and business-mindedly about the growth and future of the charity.
Work will include supporting our general manager with the creation of the business plan, offering advice and consultancy, strategic thinking, business expertise and experience in this field. We envisage that tasks will include offering advice, reading and commenting on the business plan, support with strategic thinking and development of a strategy for growth.
Enlisting support from a volunteer with skills in these fields will enable us to create the best business plan possible and help us to plan effectively for the future development and growth of the charity, which is vitally needed. Putting these foundations in place will give us the structure that we need to work from to reach even more people with our work, growing our productions and raising more income.
Ideally we would like to work with someone who has charity consultancy experience and business know how, who enjoys giving advice to and supporting small charities with strategic thinking and business development. This role may be best suited to a retired consultant based in either London or Brighton, but this is not vital. Specific skills in the areas of governance and financial management would be great, but again, not vital. Someone with an interest in or experience of working in the arts, in Classics or in theatre would be really useful for us.
This opportunity will give someone the chance to work closely with a small, friendly and passionate charity who offer much in the way of Classics education, and who are well-respected in the field of Ancient Greek drama.
You will receive the opportunity to impart knowledge and experience which will make a real contribution to the future success of a small charity, and in return become part of an organisation which is devoted to making exciting theatre to celebrate the Classics, and which keeps them alive in modern society.
We are based in Brighton but our general manager works remotely in London. Face to face meetings can be held in London or in Brighton, at the charity's office.
When do I need to be available?
|Details||The majority of the work can be achieved remotely - some face to face meetings/phone calls with our general manager will be required. We envisage that the role will be mainly consultancy based, for a period of four months or so, on a part time basis (around 3 hours per week, maximum). Travel and any necessary expenses will absolutely be paid for by us.|
