The Level volunteer garden club is an informal, friendly club which meets weekly at The Level park on Thursday mornings most weeks.

The Level is a multi-award-winning restored park which has become a beacon of excellence for sustainability. The club is run under the expert supervision and tutelage of the park's onsite Garden Manager.

Volunteer gardeners, after receiving full training and information including a health and safety briefing, work alongside the Cityparks garden manager at the park on a number of seasonal gardening tasks such as: weeding, pruning, dead-heading etc.

Cityparks garden managers have extensive horticultural and garden management experience, and welcome anyone with or without previous gardening experience, and love helping people learn, understand and fully appreciate the joy of gardening, especially but not only for all its mental and physical well-being benefits.

Volunteer gardeners are provided with a cotton tabard and other tools and information they may need to undertake the volunteering (training on correct and safe use of tools provided as part of induction.)

No previous gardening experience is required - just enthusiasm and a willingness to have fun and take advantage of the amazing experience of being in this popular restored park with a highly knowledgeable Cityparks Garden Manager to guide and advise you.
