The Tidy Up Team is a scheme organised by Brighton & Hove City Council to provide volunteers with the skills, information, tools, and materials to carry out litterpicking in green spaces across the city.

No special skills or experience is required, full training is provided before volunteers participate in litterpicking.

Being part of a team that is making a real and measurable difference to the city environment.

There are opportunities to get involved in organising community and similar activities.

Social and Civic activities are organised to bring members together.

Practical Considerations

Mobility issues may restrict activity on some sites and having the ability to hold a litterpicker in one hand and a bin bag in the other is preferred though arrangements can be made if this is not possible.
