Artspace is looking to increase its Trustee Board membership to expand the expertise of the Board and to replace a valued Board member who is leaving. We are particularly interested in applicants who have an arts background and experience in marketing/fundraising/legal matters or accounts.
The charity Artspace Brighton was set up in 2013 and was given charitable status in 2017. It is an independent volunteer led, person centred organisation where all parties involved are included in the direction and progression of the organisations aims. Its purpose is to provide a stable and supportive space for adults with experience of mental health issues to develop their interest in art making.
Interest and commitment to supporting mental health through community based arts. Skills in marketing/fundraising/legal issues and accounting would also be very welcome to complement the skills of the existing Trustee Board members. The ability to work in a team is also essential.
Contributing to promoting mental well being. Developing skills in working collaboratively with a Board. Developing skills in the strategic planning of a small charity.
Meetings take place in the early evening. Telephone advice is by mutual agreement.
When do I need to be available?
