Pathways to Independence UK is the South East’s leading provider of specialist accommodation, support, advice and training for young refugees and asylum seekers

PTI UK is recruiting for a part time Volunteer Coordinator for our Connect project working with young asylum seekers and refugees

The role will be responsible for the recruitment, training and support of a growing team of ‘Community Connect’ volunteers to assist with the delivery of PTI UK’s young people’s activities offering accommodation, guidance and support to asylum seeking and refugee young people aged 18 to 25 years. Ideally, we are looking someone who can offer us 22.5 hours per week, across the week, flexible to suit them.

The Connect project:
This new project has been co-designed with young refugees and aims to increase self-confidence and sense of belonging as part of a community by increasing young refugees social connections

The Community connect volunteers you work with will meet young people for a few hours a week to do activities that increase social connections and confidence


We are looking to recruit a skilled and qualified individual who has previous volunteer management experience, experience working with young people and has a good knowledge of local services and local strategic developments.

PTIUK is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. Successful applicants are required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure via the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)
