LEAD BID WRITER'S PURPOSE:
To liaise with the Trustees, Committee and the Project Manager of the Eye Project to support the fund-raising efforts principally by producing funding bids to both national and local fund providers.
TASKS and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To join the steering committee with the objective of being the lead Bid Writer and developing the EYE Project teams in fundraising skills and capabilities.
- To help identify fund raising sources and opportunities, be they Not For Profit, Private, Business or Governmental.
- To develop the relationship with relevant organisations so that they understand and appreciate the EYE Project objectives
- To prepare bid applications and support the progress of bids to ensure alignment with the fund providers intention.
- To develop the EYE Projects overall capability in fundraising both at a collective and individual level.
Skills
WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Experience in Bid Writing and volunteering on the fundraising side within the Not-for-Profit sector would be an advantage but equally someone who brings a parallel set of skills from business, marketing, government or any other relevant area would be welcome.

Practical Considerations
You will volunteer within the team of Trustees/Committee Members though the principal contact will be the Project Manager.
It is envisaged that there will be a need for a commitment on 3 to 4 days a month.
Most meetings for the EYE Project are currently held on Zoom so travel is a minimum.
When do I need to be available?
