Brighton Food Factory
Brighton Food Factory is a non-profit organisation promoting good food for all across the the city and beyond - working with community cooks, food hubs, food banks and ethical traders.
We are looking for a keen, visual person/people to help us deliver our message and raise awareness around good food, circular economy, supporting local businesses and each other in our communities.
The role(s) would include helping to gather data and content from community organisations and chefs, around the subject of food, community, growing and eating. Also helping with post writing, uploading and monitoring.
We are also running a series of podcasts and there is opportunity to become involved with our exciting new project.
An interest in social media is essential with a knowledge of how it works. An interest in food, environment and/or community issues would be useful.
We need a well-organised person with a good head on their shoulders to build an understanding of the social non-profit environment and the battle that our members face to get good food on tables around the city.
- We will provide training from an experienced marketing professional.
- You will gain experience using a variety of different content and platforms and develop usable skills for a marketing workplace.
- You will be working for public and social good and helping promote a valuable service.
We operate from Waterhall Old Golf Club, Saddlescombe Road, Brighton. The bus route is not very easy although it is a short, muddy walk from Waterhall Rugby Club.
The job could be carried out mostly remotely, although we feel some time with us in the office would be helpful and provide some social contact. The hours/office day or times are flexible.
We have ample parking included disabled parking and access to the building. There is a ramp although a small step into our actual office - but alternative working space could be provided.
